How is steaming done?
There are a few different ways you can steam. The two most popular ways are on the floor or on the toilet; both being done in the comfort of your own home. Vaginal steaming on the floor; you simply pour your infused herbal water into a heat-safe bowl (stainless steel is recommended) use a towel or throw a blanket around your waist to keep the steam in and squat over it as comfortably as you can. You may have to reposition a few times depending on how long you choose to steam. The average steaming time for women without an IUD is 15-30 minutes. Women who choose to steam that have the IUD should NOT steam longer than 10 minutes. (8 minutes is recommended) vaginal steaming on the toilet; same set up as the floor, make sure the bowl is fully extended out then place it in your toilet. Let your toilet seat down and pour your infused water into your toilet bowl. Enjoy your steam!
