Does vaginal steaming cause my period to come early?

Some women may experience spotting or even start their period a few days early after their first steam and that is normal. Your cycle could possibly come a few days early from steaming if it is your first or second time steaming because of course your body has to get use to it. Keep in mind vaginal steaming is a detox; any old blood in the uterus will be coming during your cycle. Your body has to adjust to your new monthly routine so relax and always monitor your cycles for the first two months of steaming.

If you experience small blood clots / discharge during your cycle or brown blood for more than one day please monitor it. That should not last longer than one day; it’s usually the first day of your cycle. Don’t hesitate to check with your primary care provider.
